GRIPS Most Innovative is back at this year’s Global Research and Innovation in Plastics Sustainability (GRIPS) conference.
Innovators in plastics sustainability are once again invited to submit their work to be considered for GRIPS Most Innovative.
The deadline for GRIPS Most Innovative has been extended to 5pm GMT on Friday 14 April.
The winners will be decided at the world-leading GRIPS conference, organised by Innovate UK KTN and hosted by UK Circular Plastics Network, when it returns to the Coventry Building Society Arena from 10 – 11 May 2023.
Dr Sally Beken, Founder of the UK Circular Plastics Network and Polymer Knowledge Transfer Manager at Innovate UK KTN, says, “GRIPS gives the global innovation community a chance to share their work and learn about all the latest ideas in plastics sustainability. Every year, countless new and creative ways of reducing the environmental impact of plastics are discovered. All of these innovations are important, but some are more compelling and have more potential impact than others, and that’s what GRIPS Most Innovative is about.
“This is the second year we’re celebrating the most impactful or out-of-the-box innovations in plastics sustainability from around the world, and it’s a great opportunity for research teams to get some exposure and recognition for their work.
“It’s really easy to apply, so I encourage everyone to enter. All of the entries will be highlighted at the conference, so even if you don’t win, it’s well worth a shot!”
Plastics sustainability innovators are asked to simply submit a 2-minute video describing their work using the front-facing camera of a smart phone, in portrait orientation. The videos will be played at the conference, which already has more than 1,000 delegates signed up from nearly every sector around the world. The winner will be decided by a panel of judges.
