The Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging (SSPP) Challenge is planning to launch a competition to fund large-scale reuse/refill pilot projects for fresh milk or other liquid food and beverages in September. This event will provide delegates with the background and further detail for the competition and the support available to bidders from Innovate UK, and help catalyse collaboration and knowledge sharing.

An expanded, industry-led Open Data Standard for packaging, developed initially to support efficient and consistent data capture, sharing, and reporting on plastic packaging, has now been expanded to cover all common packaging materials, including glass, metals, paper, fibre-based composites and wood.
