The Global Research and Innovation in Plastics Sustainability (GRIPS) conference, exhibition and showcase is back for its third year from 10 – 11 May 2023. Featuring 70+ innovative exhibitors, the two-day event will hold numerous interactive sessions hosted by over 80 sector experts.
The event, organised by Innovate UK KTN alongside its partner, Sustainable Plastics Live, and hosted by UK Circular Plastics Network, will bring the latest thinking, research and technologies in plastics sustainability from both industry and academia to the stage.
With over 1000 delegates expected to attend from various industries, including plastic packaging/FMCG, construction, AI, textiles and healthcare, the two-day event promises to provide all attendees with the latest insight into plastic sustainability.
The event will take place at Coventry Building Society Arena with expert discussions due to be held across the three conference theatres within the venue. The show floor will host the latest innovations in the drive towards circular plastics, providing attendees with cutting edge research and leading practice in plastic sustainability.
The event’s sessions will be hosted and led by sector experts across a variety of subjects, including construction, legislation, AI, healthcare, net zero, marine plastics, chemical recycling, sustainability design, innovation opportunities in global markets, plastics packaging and much more. Guest speakers across the two days will include:

- Mike Shaver, Professor of Polymer Science at the University of Manchester
- Margaret Bates, Executive Director at On Pack Recycling Label
- Libby Peake, Head of Resource Policy at Green Alliance
